Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.

Responsibilities & Duties:

? Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production:

o Preplacement site inspections

o Initial stocking plans

o Sorting & Treating

o Mat & Gruel Feeding

? Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.

? Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics

? Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

? Excellent organizational & time management skills.

? Prior swine management experience.

? Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

? Travel – across Iowa with possible overnight stays
