Event Date:
Monarch Magic will take place at Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames, IA on Aug 29th from 10 am to 1 pm.
No experience is required—we’ll provide everything you need to feel confident in your role. Our goal is to have two people at each station, with two shifts: 9 am – 11 am and 11 am – 1 pm. The first shift will help set up, while the second shift will help clean up.
We will have snacks and a thank-you gift for all volunteers.
Opportunities are described below:
Enjoy helping kids? This station is for you! You will be helping apply temporary tattoos to help spread the joy of pollinators.
At this table, you will be greeting all attendees and making sure they sign in so we can know how successful the event was!
Passionate about citizen science or just like bugs and plants? This is where you should volunteer! Help attendees understand and make observations on iNaturalist.
Love native plants and gardens? Then this is where you should be! Help attendees choose native plants to take home and plant.
Let us know how you want to help today!
