EcoKids
Developing habits to preserve our environment is critical, especially for youth, who will become our future leaders and earth contenders. Often, youth environmental education, however, is unaccessible or taught in a dull manner.
At EcoKids, we believe that sustainability and quality, hands-on STEM learning should go hand-in-hand. From DIY solar ovens to curating mini greenhouses, EcoKids is offering a free camp filled with these activities for students entering 2nd-5th grade. Please review our camp itinerary here. You will receive email confirmation if your child has been confirmed for a camp date.
For the first series of EcoKids camps, there will be two dates, September 5th and September 19th, 2026, from 2 pm – 5pm in the Danfoss Room at the Ames Public Library on both days. There will be ~20 spots per day. Please register for only one date. Both days will have the same itinerary.
