
Juneteenth Celebration
Celebrate Juneteenth with the Ames Public Library with a variety of activities, live entertainment, food vendors, games, and much more on Saturday, June 14, from 12:30-5pm at Bandshell Park! (6th St. and Duff Ave.)
The Bookmobile will be there to give away books featuring Black authors, illustrators, and characters (while supplies last). Visitors can also enjoy a StoryWalk® around the park as you read Sprouting Wings: The True Story of James Herman Banning, the First African American Pilot to Fly Across the United States by Louisa Jaggar.
