Job Description:

This position executes statistical methodology to challenge, corroborate, and redesign key performance indicators utilized in a variety of projects. This role collaborates with internal and campus stakeholders to understand their quantitative goals and create ways to test the current practices and assumptions that are in place to track those goals. The projects completed by this individual will ensure accuracy of our data when using it to inform future business practices.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct hypothesis-driven work, using relevant statistical methodology, to determine appropriate benchmarks and values to be utilized in a variety of analytics initiatives.
  • Communicate data findings to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Help to conceptualize the data needs for new projects and initiatives at the organization.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree or certification in a data-related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in statistical analysis.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in R. Tableau and/or Python experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to generate hypotheses and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions with business impact.
  • Experience cleaning and analyzing big data using a variety of statistical methods.
  • Must be able to analyze and summarize complex findings to answer questions for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Must be able to solve problems and analyze research information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
  • Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
