The ACI Team comprises of engineers, project managers, skilled welders, pipe fitters, sheet metal mechanics, service technicians, and support staff who are all dedicated to serving our clients.

 

Job Summary:

The Service Manager is responsible for the overall business results of their assigned team(s) and for the safety and supervision of service technicians who accomplish the repair, retrofit, or replacement of environment comfort systems. Additionally, this role is responsible for training and developing HVAC field technicians.

 

Duties:

· Address internal and external complaints by problem solving and finding resolutions

· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

· Conduct performance reviews, rewards, and disciplines as necessary

· Consolidate information by collecting, organizing, and assembling data for reports, presentations, and/or special projects

· Implement and evaluate area safety requirements to provide feedback and recommendations to service technicians following company safety policies

· Train, develop, and support HVAC field technicians by providing technical advice and offering guidance

· Responsible for development, installation, programing, and startup of building HVAC systems

· Supervise jobs by reviewing technicians’ work and maintaining records

· Provide oversight into scheduling, organizing, and dispatching HVAC field technicians

· Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact

· Acquire and develop new customer relationships and prospective businesses

· Serve customers by answering questions, responding to special requests, and

helping them make key buying decisions

· Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary

· Identify, analyze, and quote equipment repairs at customers’ locations

· Use a variety of tools and read schematics, diagrams and understand engineering specifications

· Monitor and control staff, tools, and vehicles to ensure efficient and effective use of all departmental resources

· Review and be responsible for service profitability reports monthly to identify below target gross margins. Identify problems or areas for improvement to initiate appropriate steps for implementation

· Develop and maintain relationships with local education institutions

· Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed

· Infrequent overnight travel may be required

 

Qualifications:

· Proficient to extensive knowledge of HVAC products, systems, electronics, and building automation controls, specifically preventative maintenance

· Bachelor’s degree preferred, associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning

· 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred

· Driving record meets company requirements

· Successful passing of pre-employment drug screening required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Works a blend of in office and out of office. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards when visited the jobsite. Employees may be exposed to outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. May be expected to carry up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.
