Best Veterinary Solutions, Inc., has immediate openings for full-time Production Team Members.
**This position typically works 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday – Thursday in our climate-controlled Ellsworth, Iowa facility.** Our production team assist with various areas within the plant while maintaining efficient production processes according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
BVS operates across nine states, provides innovative solutions and service to the animal health industry, primarily in the poultry market. We partner with the world’s highest quality manufacturers and provide custom manufactured products to empower animal producers to care for their animals at the most reasonable cost.
Responsibilities:
– Follow safety rules, work policies and procedures per training/instructions.
– Stage bulk/bagged raw materials.
– Safely operate production equipment, forklifts and pallet jacks.
– Prepare packaging (labels and lot number) with accuracy and attention to the detail.
– Fill, weigh, seal and load bags/boxes of product onto pallets.
– Take samples of product and record findings.
– Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
– Communicate in an efficient and effective manner with all team members.
– Be responsible, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining highest standards of quality.
– Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Technical Skill Requirements:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Previous work experience in agriculture, production, or manufacturing preferred but not required
– Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures
– Proficient organizational skills
– Self-motivator and self-starter
– Strong critical thinking problem solving, judgment, and initiative
– Effective reading, math and communication skills
– Basic computer skills
– Reliable transportation
Production Worker Physical Abilities Required:
– Walk and stand for extensive periods
– Move with coordination and dexterity
– Ability to lift 60 lb. repeatedly
– The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment
– The ability to work with and around industrial hazards
