Work in partnership with Head Teacher, classroom staff, and ACPC administration to plan and execute preschool program in accordance with the philosophy and goals of Ames Community Preschool Center.
Work with Head Teacher in planning and executing classroom goals and activities.
Be engaged and provide appropriate positive guidance to children according to ACPC policies.
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Supervise and eat with children at mealtimes.
Carry out and take initiative to carry out group activities as requested by the full-time staff.
Maintain open communication with families related to services, policies and procedural changes.
Report any concerns or problems to the head teacher, and/or ACPC administration.
Attend meetings as assigned.
Communicate openly to all entities as needed.
Project a positive center image in the community.
Securely maintain records as assigned.
Report any suspicions of child abuse.
Education & Experience:
High-School Diploma or equivalent
Secondary degree or certificate preferred and encouraged.
Certification in infant, child and adult CPR, first aid, Universal Precautions, Mandatory Reporter Training and Essentials Training.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class D license.
Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and physical examination.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00pm
