Position: Piano Accompanist
Good Company, Ames Women’s Choir, is seeking a skilled and passionate piano
accompanist to join our vibrant and dedicated musical community. This role is a wonderful
opportunity for an accomplished pianist who loves working with vocal ensembles and
contributing to the artistic growth of a choir.
Good Company has been entertaining audiences and providing musical growth for its
members for 30 years. Our auditioned singers range in age from 20-80 and are drawn from

Responsibilities
As the piano accompanist for Good Company, your primary duties will include:
• Providing piano accompaniment during rehearsals and scheduled performances.
• Collaborating closely with the Music Director to support the musical needs of the
choir.
• Contributing to the overall musical quality and cohesion of the choir.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
• Proficiency in piano performance, with strong sight-reading skills.
• Experience accompanying choral groups.
• Flexibility and adaptability to various musical styles and genres.
• A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
• Dependability and commitment to the choir’s rehearsal and performance schedule.
Schedule and Compensation
The piano accompanist is expected to attend rehearsals, which take place on Sunday from
6:30pm – 9:00pm, ten Sundays each academic semester. This is about two to three
Sundays per month from September to May, as well as dress rehearsal and performances,
one in December and one in May. Compensation will fall between $30 and $40/hour based
on skill and experience.
