This position provides strategic assistance generating hypotheses, conceptualizing data projects, and drawing meaningful and interpretable conclusions to maximize the impact of data in the organization. This role collaborates with a variety of internal and campus stakeholders and ensures clear communication of data insights to non-technical staff using Tableau Cloud.
Based on qualifications and experience, a selected candidate may hold one of these job titles: Assistant Director of Data Analytics or Associate Director of Data Analytics.
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Generate Tableau dashboards based on key performance indicators outlined in the foundation’s ten-year strategic plan.
- Utilize dashboards and large datasets to draw meaningful conclusions and inform business practices.
- Communicate data findings to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help to conceptualize the data needs for new projects and initiatives at the organization.
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or appropriate years of experience. Degree in a data-related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience related to employment area.

- Proven ability to generate hypotheses and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions with business impact.
- Experience creating and navigating data visualizations.
- Must be able to analyze and summarize complex findings to answer questions for a variety of stakeholders.
- Must be able to solve problems and analyze research information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
- Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
