Volunteer Dates:

• On-Campus Interviews for youth will be in Ames, IA, on March 21, 2026, between 9 AM and 3PM.
• Virtual interviews will be offered on March 14, 2026, between 9 AM and 3 PM, and on March 17, 2026, between 4 PM and 7 PM.

  As Iowa 4-H prepares for our upcoming recognition day, we are once again in search of volunteers to help select, encourage, and honor these accomplished young people! As a 4-H volunteer, we value your dedication to Iowa 4-H and are hopeful you will consider volunteering.

   

  The opportunities offered through 4-H Recognition are summarized on the event page. This year, we are looking for volunteers to serve in the following ways:

   

  1.Remote/Virtual Application Reviewers: We’re looking for about 160 volunteers to virtually review up to nine written applications and provide feedback. This can be done remotely and typically takes 20 to 60 minutes per application. If interested, please fill out the online form (https://airtable.com/appOBJzuUxvnASixp/shrsAqmw5C5LNaWrE) by 12/01.

  2.  Applicant Interviewers:

  We need around 40 individuals for virtual and in-person interviews for various awards and conferences. In-person interviewers should be available between 7 AM -3 PM on March 21, 2025, while virtual interviewers will need to participate in a full or partial day on Saturday, March 14, or between 3:30 – 7 PM on Tuesday, March 17.  (https://airtable.com/appOBJzuUxvnASixp/shrsAqmw5C5LNaWrE) by 1/15.

  3.  Room Timers: We are looking for 6-10 individuals to attend State Recognition Day on March 21, 2026, from approximately 7 AM-3 PM to help with room timing, registration, and other day-of assistance. To volunteer for this role, please fill out the online response form (https://airtable.com/appOBJzuUxvnASixp/shrsAqmw5C5LNaWrE) by 1/15.

  4. Remote/Virtual Comment Reviewers: We are looking for individuals who can review comments to ensure our 4-Her’s receive appropriate and constructive feedback after their interviews have concluded.
