**Job Title: Production Operations Technician (3rd Shift)** **Job Description**

As a Production Operations Technician on the 3rd shift, you will coordinate the assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of company products. You will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks including assembling, operating both manual and automatic equipment, setting up machines, testing, and dismantling unit assemblies and complex subassembly workstations according to work process instructions. This role involves rotating among all stations within each assembly cell, performing repetitive work at a consistent pace to meet customer demands. A working knowledge and ability to repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies using power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns is required.

**Responsibilities**

+ Coordinate parts, assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of products.

+ Perform manufacturing tasks including assembly and operation of equipment.

+ Set up machines and test product assemblies.

+ Dismantle unit assemblies and complex subassembly workstations.

+ Rotate among all stations within each assembly cell.

+ Repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies using power tools.

**Essential Skills**

+ 6 months prior production experience.

+ 6 months experience in an assembly-based position.

+ Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is beneficial.

**Work Environment**

This position is based in a large manufacturing facility specializing in hydraulic components. Work is distributed across three shifts, with the 3rd shift operating from 10 PM to 6 AM. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, t-shirts, and gloves due to the nature of the products, which often involve oil for lubrication.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of AMES, IA.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.70/hr.
