McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Histologic Technician for its West Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: performing specialized frozen tissue processing for used by a MOHS surgeon in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Core Values and Promise.

Education

+ Associate’s degree in histological technology or related science from an accredited institution.

Certification/License

+ Certification as HT (ASCP) or willing to train

Days: Monday – Friday will vary

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM will vary

Experience

+ Two years laboratory experience with cutting and staining tissues specimens preferred.

+ Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems preferred.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
